Dr. Soledad received a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin. She received her medical degree from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center School of Medicine. She then completed her general surgery training at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. During her training, she was honored with awards for teaching and was also chosen to serve as Administrative Chief Resident in her final year. Dr. Soledad joined the Surgical Group of the Woodlands in 2018 and is happy to have returned home to Houston.
Dr. Soledad has interests in all aspects of general surgery and is trained in laparoscopic, robotic and open procedures – covering the abdominal organs, colorectal disease, hernias, anti-reflux procedures, thyroid and parathyroids, as well as skin and soft tissue diseases. She places special emphasis on approaching treatment in an individualized manner to achieve the best possible outcome for her patients.
Dr. Soledad is married and has three energetic children. She enjoys spending time with family, the outdoors, athletic activities as well as anything to do with the ocean.
